Suitable for vertical long mold
This is a new model with a slimmer plate for cost reduction. It is best suited when mold width fits inside the tie bar.
Suitable for wide mold
The plate shape is the same with the previous model which can accept a laterally wide mold.
Easy die change
Clamp molds instantly with super strong permanent magnet
Pascal mag clamp is a mold clamp system for injection molding machines that clamps the mold with powerful magnet force. Clamps instantly with the push of a button (0.5.-4.5 seconds). Energy is only required when turning On/Off (Clamp/Unclamp), no power is consumed and no heat is generated during mold clamping.
Magnetized (Clamping)
- Electromagnetic coil is energized for 0.5 sec.
- Polarity of alnico magnet is inverted.
- Neodymium magnet and alnico magnet become homopolar.
- Magnet core securely clamps the mold.
Demagnetized (Unclamping)
- Electromagnetic coil is energized for 0.5 sec.
- Polarity of alnico magnet is inverted.
- Magnetic flux of neodymium magnet and alnico magnet is not emitted from the surface of the magnet core so that the mold can be unclamped.
Mold displacement detection system
Displacement or lifting of the mold can be detected by the electromagnetic coils being built in the magnet core
located near the center of clamp plate.
When mold moves → Induction current generates
No need to unify the mold sizes
Not necessary to standardize the size (vertical/horizontal/thickness)
Even if the mold is not standardized in height,
it can achieve the horizontal mold chage by attaching the spacer on the mold.
Only a spacer is added.
Use the machine platen area to the maxium
A extra space is not necessary to mount a conventional clamp on the machine platen and a designer can design the mold without any dimensional constraints.
An extra space is reuquired to mount hydraulic or air clamp on the platen and the interference with core cylinder, electricl connectors, couplers and hoses etc can be a problem
